Olympic Park - Stratford electrical contract
Client: Kier London
Value: £5,000,000.00
Location: Stratford

Winchmore Brickwork recently secured a project with Kier London at the Olympic site.

The Olympic Delivery Authority unveiled the new designs for the EDF substation which will supply the Olympic Park with electricity during the Games and “in legacy”. According to an enthusiastic press release, NORD Architects chose dark brick for the building because it creates “a sense of solidity appropriate to the building’s role as a key part of the utilities infrastructure”, and, “reflects the traditional use of dark brick stock as window and corner details on the former King’s Yard industrial buildings”.
